Description
Plant Mechanics Root Booster V2 1L
Plant Mechanics Root Booster V2 1L is an organic root stimulant for soil, coco and hydroponic systems. Its formulation includes vitamins, organic acid complexes, refined kelps, microbial exudates and chelating agents. It is designed to support root development and seedling vigour within a nutrient program. This listing is the 1 litre bottle.
What Root Booster V2 is used for
The manufacturer describes Root Booster V2 for use during vegetative growth and flowering. It is diluted into the nutrient solution. This makes it a feeding-program additive rather than a complete base nutrient or a concentrated product to use undiluted.
Choose the application rate for the program you are following. The product’s regular rate is 0.5 mL/L. Plant Mechanics also publishes complete feed schedules with stage-specific rates, so the regular dilution and a particular chart’s first-week instruction should be read in their own context.
Plant Mechanics Root Booster V2 1L regular dilution
At the regular rate, add 0.5 mL per litre of water. Calculate from the amount of water actually being prepared, then measure and dilute the product into the nutrient solution.
| Water being prepared | Root Booster V2 at 0.5 mL/L |
|---|---|
| 5 litres | 2.5 mL |
| 10 litres | 5 mL |
| 20 litres | 10 mL |
| 50 litres | 25 mL |
| 100 litres | 50 mL |
For a different mix size, multiply litres of water by 0.5. A 30 litre preparation therefore needs 15 mL at the regular rate. Use suitably graduated measuring equipment, particularly when preparing a small watering can where an estimated capful would be difficult to repeat.
Stage-specific feed-chart context
The published Plant Mechanics COCO+ guide uses 0.3 mL/L Root V2 in the first grow week and 0.5 mL/L in the following grow weeks. That is a specific COCO+ program. Use the relevant chart and bottle directions together rather than assuming one rate describes every stage in every nutrient program.
For example, a 20 litre mix at 0.3 mL/L needs 6 mL, while the same water volume at the regular 0.5 mL/L rate needs 10 mL. Work out which instruction applies before measuring the additive.
How much solution can the bottle prepare?
Plant Mechanics Root Booster V2 1L contains 1000 mL. At a constant regular rate of 0.5 mL/L, it can prepare 2000 litres of solution. That is equivalent to one hundred 20 litre mixes or forty 50 litre mixes. These figures describe dilution capacity, not a guaranteed duration in a garden.

Comparing the Plant Mechanics additives
Root Booster V2 is the root-focused product in the range. Super N+ supplies additional nitrogen with calcium and magnesium, while Mega PK is a phosphorus and potassium flowering supplement. They have different purposes and dilution rates. A 1 litre bottle of each does not mean that each product is used in the same quantity per mix.
For a partly filled reservoir, calculate from the water present. A 100 litre vessel containing 40 litres of water needs 20 mL of Root Booster V2 at the regular 0.5 mL/L rate. Recalculate after changing the water volume.
Keeping a repeatable mixing record
Note the water volume, selected Root Booster V2 rate and other products in each mix. If you move from a 10 litre watering can to a 50 litre reservoir, recalculate the amount rather than keeping the same measure. Compare products by their intended role as well as the size of the bottle.
