CANNA COCO A+B is a two-part mineral nutrient for coco coir, using the same A and B bottles through growth and flowering. For growers who want a consistent base feed, that makes the routine straightforward: choose the stage, measure each part separately and check the finished solution.
This Hunter Hydro guide covers mixing, pH, EC, the supporting additives and a tank calculator with a printable chart. It is intended for legal flowering and fruiting garden plants in coco; crop requirements still determine how the programme is applied.
Why choose CANNA COCO?
The practical benefit is a base feed formulated for coco rather than a generic soil fertiliser. CANNA describes mineral nutrients with chelates and humic and fulvic acids. Keeping A and B separate in the bottle allows ingredients that would react at concentrate strength to be supplied together after dilution. There is no separate COCO Grow-to-Bloom bottle change.
Use a suitable prepared coco medium, dependable drainage and clean measuring tools. Nutrition works alongside light, temperature and irrigation. More bottles or a stronger feed do not automatically produce better plants.
Mixing order: water, A, B, then checks
- Measure the water actually going into the tank and record its starting EC.
- Shake the nutrient bottles. Add CANNA COCO A to the water and stir thoroughly.
- Add the same volume of CANNA COCO B and stir again. Never combine the concentrates directly.
- Add chosen programme additives separately at the matching chart rate, mixing between products. Follow each label if it specifies a different preparation step.
- Allow the mixture to settle as directed, then measure final EC. Dilute if necessary; do not correct strength by adding only one base part.
- Check and adjust pH after mixing. CANNA’s COCO guidance is pH 5.5–6.2. Handle concentrates and pH adjusters according to their labels.
CANNA COCO feeding chart
This example comes from the Australian CANNA online Grow Guide, checked 13 October 2026: normal feeding, 10 L water, starting EC 0.4 mS/cm, a five-day vegetative phase I and nine-week flowering period. The rooting phase starts with a one-week-old cutting or seedling. The phase lengths are examples, not a crop calendar for every herb, vegetable or ornamental.
All doses below are mL per litre. The A+B column means that amount of A AND that same amount of B. EC is the example’s total finished EC in mS/cm, including starting water. These relatively strong normal-feed figures are not universal targets for tender seedlings or low-feed crops; use the manufacturer’s light-feed option and crop guidance where appropriate.
| Stage | A and B, EACH | RHIZOTONIC | CANNAZYM | BOOST | PK 13/14 | Total EC |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rooting D1–5 | 2.95 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
| Vegetative D6–10 | 2.95 | 2 | 2.5 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
| Flowering W1–2 | 3.35 | 2 | 2.5 | 2 | 0 | 2.2 |
| Flowering W3–5 | 3.35 | 0.5 | 2.5 | 2 | 0 | 2.2 |
| Flowering W6 | 3.35 | 0.5 | 2.5 | 2 | 1.5 | 2.7 |
| Flowering W7 | 2.95 | 0.5 | 2.5 | 2 | 0 | 2 |
| Flowering W8 | 2.95 | 0 | 2.5 | 2 | 0 | 2 |
| Final W9 | 0 | 0 | 2.5 | 2 | 0 | 0.4 |
Zero means no dose in this example. The calculator uses the lower listed CANNAZYM and BOOST rates. The online guide permits CANNAZYM at 5 mL/L for reused substrate and shows 2.5–5 mL/L in the final two weeks; BOOST is 2–4 mL/L from flowering week 3 onward. Check the official programme before increasing either. PK 13/14 appears only in the selected late-flowering window, not every week. The official PDF places it 3–4 weeks before harvest.
The Australian PDF rounds some base doses to 2.9 and 3.3 mL/L; the live online example returns 2.95 and 3.35 mL/L. This chart and calculator consistently use the online values. Follow the current label and your chosen official schedule rather than mixing versions.
Tank calculator and personalised printable chart
Enter litres, select a stage and calculate. You can print or save the complete personalised chart as a PDF from your browser. This scales liquid volume only; it cannot predict your measured EC or choose the correct strength for your crop.
20 L rooting example: 59 mL A, 59 mL B and 80 mL RHIZOTONIC. Confirm actual EC and pH.
Manual calculation: mL/L × litres = mL of each product. At 2.95 mL/L in 20 L, measure 59 mL A and 59 mL B separately.
Understand pH, EC and water before adding extras
The example starts with water EC 0.4 mS/cm. Its 2.0 total EC includes 1.6 contributed by nutrition. Do not add 0.4 a second time to a column already labelled total. Hard or very soft water changes the result: use CANNA’s personalised guide with your measured water EC. Calmag is conditional on water quality, not an automatic extra at a fixed rate. Follow its label and the chosen chart.
Read our pH meter calibration guide before relying on an unexpected reading. Record water volume, doses, pH, EC and plant response. If leaf tips burn or growth slows, investigate irrigation, roots and the environment before increasing feed.
What do the supporting products do?
RHIZOTONIC is the root-support product; CANNAZYM is the enzyme product; CANNABOOST is the flowering additive; and PK 13/14 supplies additional phosphorus and potassium for a specific flowering window. These roles explain the chart, not a requirement to use every additive in every garden. Keep the complete programme coherent and avoid stacking another PK booster on top.
Coco pots and watering
Fabric pots with suitable trays can make a tidy small coco setup. Match watering to pot size, root development and conditions; keep drainage clear and do not leave pots in stagnant runoff. A nutrient chart alone cannot prescribe irrigation frequency. Leafy herbs harvested before flowering do not need a nine-week flowering schedule.

Frequently asked questions
Do I change to a CANNA COCO Bloom bottle?
No. COCO A+B is the base through both phases; the amounts and additives change with the schedule.
Does 2.95 mL/L mean A and B combined?
No. It means 2.95 mL of A plus 2.95 mL of B for every litre of water.
Can the calculator replace an EC meter?
No. It performs multiplication. Water composition and all added products influence the actual reading.
Is the last week a water-only flush?
Not in this selected example: base A+B is zero, but CANNAZYM and BOOST remain listed. Follow the crop and selected programme rather than calling every final stage a water-only flush.
